It started with a horrifying experience during our early childhood.
I went in for a few shots and for whatever reason the dentist on duty that afternoon was actually mean and cruel. It’s hard to break a setback association away from a particular stimulus when you have such a traumatic memory connected to it. Still, I have absolutely improved with this as time has gone on. I can visit our general physician and have a nice experience because he’s a nice guy who never tries to request unnecessary medical procedures that would make myself and others guess uncomfortable. However, abruptly visiting a current specialist I’ve never met before usually gives myself and others lots of anxiety. I’m glad to say that is no longer the case with our medical marijuana dentist now that I’ve been visiting him for the past numerous years straight. Yet, during the first year I would get nervous before heading to his office for our biannual medical marijuana dentist’s appointments. Now I get happy when I’m headed to our medical marijuana dentist’s office for our biannual appointments.
