The new manager of the cannabis shop started working in the beginning of march.
She really didn’t have a lot of time to plan for the 420 holiday.
She probably had about a month to throw together a good party, and she succeeded in every way. We had crowds of people inside of the cannabis shop on that day, because we sent out text messages to all of our customers one week before the event and then again a few days before the event. Then there was another text message and email sent out to all of our customers on the morning of April 20th. This email contained all of the sales and specials for that day. We had everything on sale. All of the different suppliers had sales and specials and we had lots of free gift bags to give away to the customers. The manager planned for a DJ from a local radio station to play at the dispensary. The radio DJ was there from 12:00 until 4:00 and the guy advertised the place on the radio the whole time. The dispensary hasn’t been that busy in a really long time, and I have been there for almost a year. I had an 8-hour shift and my day flew by very quickly. People seem to be generally happy about all of the sales and specials. We had all of our infused pre-rolls for 50% off. Those products are normally about $50 each and they were only $25 during the day of the sale. We sold more of the infused pre-rolls that day than we had in a month or two combined.
