Last week, I started our shift at the cannabis dispensary and 1 of our first delivery orders went to an address downtown.
I quickly recognized the address, it a house just a couple of blocks away from the football park.
That was not a game day, so I wasn’t overly upset about traffic. I did not realize that it was the weekend of the cultural fair, so downtown traffic was a nightmare and people were walking all through the streets, sidewalks, and in the middle of the road. It was hard enough to avoid hitting any pedestrians, and the other drivers on the road did not make things any easier. One other driver was not watching for pedestrians. The guy swerved at the last moment and slammed into the side of the SUV. Everything in the box in the front of our car went flying when I was hit. I tried to pick up all of the Cannabis supplies as suddenly as possible. I was in a lot of pain in our back and our neck. The car sustained a great deal of injure. The other insurance supplier is going to pay for all of these injuries, but I don’t have a vehicle to drive while the injures are being repaired. I am unquestionably thankful that our parents will let me use their car. I unquestionably cannot afford to miss out on a few weeks of work, especially now that I have a ton of medical bills from the accident. I can keep up with the bills as long as I can continue working as a marijuana delivery driver.
