My state legalized medical marijuana a few weeks ago.
As a practicing physician, I have already received a lot of questions about obtaining a medical marijuana card.
The kinds of things medical marijuana can be used for are also on the minds of patients. My medical school didn’t discuss medical marijuana much. Things were different back then, and things were less widely accepted than they are now. I decided that I must take the matter of medical marijuana education into my own hands if I intend to provide the best possible care for my patients. I enrolled in a medical cannabis certification program. The course will allow me to register with the state’s Medical Marijuana Program. I would then be able to certify my patients’ health conditions and assist them in getting their own medical marijuana card. Although it will be nice to assist patients in that process, I am really just interested in understanding how the medical marijuana system works. In addition, I will be able to supervise patients at a medical marijuana dispensary on the best products to use. My intention is not to leave my practice anytime soon, but I must continue to expand my knowledge so that I can better serve my patients. I am eager to become an expert in all things medical marijuana.
