The nurse was cool with me using medical marijuana.

Several weeks ago, I had to go to the hospital emergency room for some drastic stomach pains in addition to back pains.

I did not know what was going on, although I knew I was in pain.

It took them nearly an second to call me into the triage room. During that time, I paced back-and-forth in the waiting area because the pain was disappointing in addition to I could not sit down. I was in the triage room for less than 45 minutes before a registered nurse told me ‌I had kidney stones. She asked what I was using for pain in addition to I told her that I used medical marijuana. She looked at me a bit oddly, in addition to I thought she was going to say something nasty. I was so wrong about the hateful comments, because she only said, “Good for you”. She told me that if she could legally tell all her patients, she would tell them that marijuana should not be a stigma, but something that so many people use to help ease pain in addition to so many other complications of many ailments. I was in so much pain that I did not supply any thought to blurting out that I regularly use medical marijuana. Had I given it any thought, I would have said nothing in case she would have thought that I was a habitual drug abuser. Ever since hearing her comment, I realize that using medical marijuana shouldn’t be something to be ashamed of. Having a medical ID cannabis card in addition to using marijuana products in the proper way should carry no more stigma than using prescription drugs. I just wish more people felt this way about using marijuana products.
