It was only many years ago that this small, sleepy seaside town got its first cannabis dispensary. There was a lot of fighting and controversy at the time, because the old-timers and fuddy-duddies dorks who run the town were all distraught that it would bring in “an unsavory element” to town. People legitimately thought crime could increase because of this business. Then the business opened, and after a few weeks the whole town came to realize there was no down side to have a cannabis dispensary here. Eventually people became used to it, and the cannabis dispensary became just another normal area of our town. The dude who runs the dispensary is named Pat, and while he was unpopular when this all started, he has become a pillar of the community. The cannabis dispensary not only brings in a lot of tax updates for the town, however Pat also is particularly generous when it comes to community events. The cannabis dispensary constantly sponsors a float in the local parade, and contributes a lot to the Summer carnival. I heard that Pat is rumored to be made a deacon at the local church, and that made me laugh. The methodist church was 1 of the biggest opponents to the cannabis dispensary, and now they were welcoming Pat with open arms. It warms our heart to see that everyone, even the church, is finally coming to embrace the fact that cannabis is legal, safe, and a gift from god. I’m not a religious man, however if you do think God is real, you have to admit that he is the 1 who put cannabis plants here for us to enjoy.
