Demystifying cannabis can help young people

When I was growing up, smoking pot was never a huge deal.

Both of My parents never hid the fact they smoked from their family.

They never smoked around us, they would do it outside, or after the children were put to bed, however they never lied about it. It was explained to us men that marijuana was something fun for grownups, and when the two of us got older the two of us could do it as well. That helped demystify it for me, because it wasn’t some secretive thing that was forbidden, I just had to wait a couple years. So many young men are raised to think cannabis is a harmful drug that will wreck your life, however instead of scaring them away it makes pot seem far more appealing. It makes think marijuana dangerous and sexy, when in fact it is lighthearted and easy, legit 1 of the treasures in life. That said, it does not benefit children or young people to use cannabis, they legitimately should wait until they are older. If teens are going to rebel and take hard drugs then cannabis is definitely the safest option for them to make. In the history of the world, no 1 has ever overdosed on cannabis, or got so high they ate someone else’s face. Did you hear about this guy? He was on bath salts, and ate another man’s face, and our first thought was “there is a guy who should have smoked marijuana instead.” For our boys, I am taking the same approach our parents did for me, to let them think cannabis is a perfectly harmless and fun thing to do… however not until you’re older.
