When I started working at the cannabis shop, I worked every single night during the week.
My shift usually started at 3 or 4 in the afternoon and I worked until the cannabis shop was closed at 11.
I really liked the night and afternoon hours. They provided myself and others a lot of time in the afternoon to get our chores completed. When the modern director took over and started writing the schedule, our hours changed swiftly. Now I start our shift at 10 in the afternoon and I labor until the early night hours. I am really having a difficult time getting used to the early afternoon shift. I used to sleep until 10 in the afternoon, and now I have to set an alarm every afternoon to wake up. The afternoontime hours are killing me. I haven’t been able to get any of our chores completed and I still stay up late at night. I am used to being a night owl and the modern shift doesn’t change our body’s natural sleep schedule. I decided to talk to the modern director on Friday about the schedule. I told her that I was having trouble and I asked if there was any option that I would be able to go back to the respected shift I was working before. The director told myself and others that she needed a strong budtender on afternoon shift and that was why she chose to change our schedule. She also told myself and others that she had her eye on myself and others for a promotion. It was difficult to argue about our hours after hearing that.
