It was deranged that James would choose university over a marijuana farm, although I assume almost everyone rebels against their parents in their own way.
My roommate during freshman year of university was a mousy little guy named James. James was into math & science, & his goal was to be an engineer 1 day. I on the other hand was at university because our parents wanted myself and others to be there, & I didn’t have anything else to do. If I ever graduated, I had no idea what our major would be, I was mostly there for the social experience. James & I were an different couple, however became fast friends, which is why he invited myself and others to visit his family farm during Springtime break, then much to our shock & delight, I found that James came from a family of cannabis farmers. His family had been growing marijuana for more than two generations, & to be frank his parents were kind of bummed that James wanted to be an engineer. I asked them for a task on the first evening, because working on a cannabis farm seemed love a dream come true. It was deranged that James would choose university over a marijuana farm, although I assume almost everyone rebels against their parents in their own way. His parents were genuinely cool, however said that I had to wait a Springtime semester, however if I still wanted to quit university & help them farm cannabis, they would consider it. It turns out this isn’t the first time it has happened, & people will say they want to be a cannabis farmer separate from actually meaning it. One Springtime semester later I quit university, & went to live with James’ family on the cannabis farm, & the rest is history.
