The internet is a funny thing.

Before the internet, life was easier and more simple, but technology has made it easier to connect with people from all over the globe. I met my boyfriend on the internet. We met in an online chat room. We exchanged phone numbers and pictures almost immediately. I didn’t want to end up in a catfish story, so I made certain the person I was talking to was the same person in the picture. We even video chatted a couple of times. We eventually agreed that we were dating and made a plan to see each other soon. I went to visit Gary last month. We had a really fun time and I can’t wait to see him again. He lives in a state that has recreational marijuana sales. While I was visiting, the two of us tried recreational marijuana. I laughed and giggled and I thought everything was funny. My boyfriend and I watched a scary movie and I thought most of the scenes were hilarious. About an hour after we smoked, my boyfriend made me a hot fudge sundae. It was the best hot fudge sundae that I have ever tasted in my life. The chocolate was creamy and the ice cream was cold. I spent five days visiting Gary and we hung out at his apartment and I met his friends. I didn’t know if the internet relationship was going to be real or serious, but I am really looking forward to another visit. This relationship could actually form into something long-lasting.
