My boss had me angry.

I try not to take it out on my kids, but sometimes my boss irritates me so much that I can’t restrain my temper.

  • Even though I have everything under control, she feels she needs to micromanage me and the rest of the crew at the marijuana dispensary.

Last week, we were having a major sale. My son was having a difficult time breathing, and I took the day off to take him to the doctor’s. He was three years old, and I couldn’t leave him with a babysitter. I checked with my assistant manager to make sure she was okay dealing with the marijuana dispensary. I had already brought in several extra employees so we would be well covered for the sale. She told me to stay home and not worry about the marijuana dispensary because everything was going to be fine. About an hour later, I got a phone call from the owner of the marijuana dispensary. She was screaming at me for taking off one of the biggest sales days of the year. I tried to explain to her, but she wouldn’t quit yelling long enough for me to get a word in. I finally told her that when she was done being an ass, she could call me back, or I would call her when I got out of the doctor’s office. I didn’t care if she fired me, because my son was more important. An hour later, I called her back and asked if there was a problem at the marijuana dispensary. She hadn’t even asked if everything was okay. When she saw I wasn’t there, she just saw red and called.
